The Access Committee for Birmingham has had a long relationship with the Planning Department of Birmingham City Council. A small group of trustees from the Access Committee meet monthly to examine new Planning applications. Where the application shows issues affecting access for disabled people, then comments are passed on to the Planning officer dealing with the application.
